Clingseal 40MU is a new generation clamp sheet, sitting between the silage and the traditionally used silage sheet. Clingseal 40MU has the ability to more closely follow the contours of the silage than the traditional wrapping.

Clingseal 40MU is a thin, flexible clamp sheet with a low permeability ­rating. It is specifically intended to accurately follow and cling to the contours of the clamp surface.  Due to its degree of flexibility, Clingseal 40MU has the ability to reduce the formation of air pockets. The reduction of air pockets potential, significantly reduces the level of aerobic spoilage along the top and shoulders.

The highly effective air seal that Clingseal 40MU provides, aids in creating the perfect anaerobic conditions, which facilitates a shorter and more efficient fermentation process.

Clingseal 40MU can aid in delivering an enhanced grade of silage quality. Top tips for applying Clingseal 40MU

• Clamp must be filled and compacted correctly before applying the product
• Never overfill the clamp as it can exacerbate the problem of surface water
• Apply the Clingseal to the clamp surface as soon as possible after filling
• Ensure you take extra care when finishing, sealing and covering the pit to achieve high standards
• Make sure the film is tucked in well where it meets the clamp walls
• Once the Clingseal is in place, use high quality Rhino sheeting to cover the clamp
• Ensure sheets are weighted down firmly
• Once all the above steps have been completed, Rhino protection nets should be used to ensure the pit is covered and protected fully
• Silo bags should then be put in place to ensure the protection net is in a fixed position
