It can be used as a spray or a dip. Foradine 10 (Providine Iodine 10%) is a strong spirit based, superior quality iodine solution suitable for all types of livestock.
For use in newborn livestock to prevent navel infections:
For best results apply Foradine 10 (Povidone Iodine 10%) as soon as the animal is born. Place 5-10ml into a navel dip container. Agitate the liquid so that the whole navel is coated in iodine. Repeat in 4-6 hours. Make sure that the whole umbilical cord is covered. After 24 hours check that the cord is drying and that there is no sign of infection. Repeat for up to 5 days.
For spray application of Foradine 10 (Povidone Iodine 10%)
Make sure that the area to be disinfected has been wiped clean and is free of any debris and dirt. Hold the spray 10cm from the area of skin to be disinfected. Make sure that the area is completely covered with Foradine 10. Allow the product to dry on the skin. Repeat for up to 5 days.
