Grass Tetany is caused by an acute deficiency of magnesium in the blood of lactating cows, and is often fatal. Adequate magnesium is crucial for the proper functioning of nerves and muscles. If a cow is not receiving enough magnesium, her body comes under intense pressure. The deficiency will begin to affect the movement and temperament of the animal. Cows suffering from grass tetany will become excitable, nervous and unsteady on their feet, usually staggering and falling over with heart failure. Without intervention, death quickly ensues.
Placing buckets of Herdminder in the field with your lactating cows will help to reduce the risk of grass tetany developing in your herd.

First off, if you have received a damaged electrical product from us, do not plug it in. Any electrical products that are plugged in are deemed ‘as used and accepted’ and are not accepted as returns. If you wish to begin the return process, please email us at sales@agridirect.co.uk and ensure the following information is included in your email. Your name, phone number, Order id, the item you wish to return, reason for return and if the product is damaged we require photos of the product.
Once you have sent us all required information a member of our team will assess your claim and will contact you as soon as possible. Please hold off on returning products until a member of our team has called you to confirm.
