Kilcosan from Kilco is a powerful detergent. A phosphate free product, Kilcosan is designed for circulation cleaning of dairy equipment such as milking machines and CX bulk tanks. Kilcosan is a concentrated formulation, and contains chlorine. Among the most appealing features of Kilcosan is the fact that it can be used in either hot or cold water. Use Kilcosan for spotlessly clean milking equipment and tanks.
Before using Kilcosan, you should wash equipment with water. Then prepare your Kilcosan solution. For cold water solutions, use 1% Kilcosan. For hot water solutions, use 0.5% Kilcosan. Circulate the solution through the machine for appox. 7 minutes. After this, you should rinse your equipment with 15 litres of cold water. Repeat this process after each milking.
