Slurry For Soil

Slurry For Soil is the only slurry inoculant designed to improve the health of soil and plants. It converts slurry into a very effective bioactive fertiliser using developed, second-generation microbial technology that includes 18 different kinds of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria and fungi.

Slurry For Soil improves slurry management, increases nutrient availability, and reduces odor. Slurry For Soil bacteria and fungi have been shown to boost grass root development and productivity.

Slurry For Soil provides a large return on investment by boosting productivity, lowering expenses, and protecting the environment.

What is Slurry For Soil?

Slurry For Soil is a combination of 18 rhizobacteria and fungi that encourage plant growth and healthy soil.
This natural, sustainable product promotes aerobic decomposition and bio-digestion of slurry, resulting in a beneficial bio-active fertiliser.

What are the Benefits of Slurry For Soil?

The microbes found in Slurry For Soil have been shown to:

  • Decrease fly populations as well as emissions of hazardous greenhouse gases and odours such ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide
  • Simplify slurry handling by eliminating crust and sludge. Liquefying slurry not only eliminates blockages during application and allows for faster absorption into soil
  •  Improve slurry nutritional value and bio-availability, leading to higher forage/crop quality and yields
  • Eliminate plant pests and diseases while boosting soil quality
  • Enhance animal housing environments for better welfare
  • Lowers the toxicity level of the slurry

Slurry For Soil ultimately decreases costs, boosts profit margins, and provides numerous environmental benefits.

How does Slurry For Soil Work?

The soil-originating microbes multiply quickly and disperse throughout the slurry, generating a large number of enzymes that breakdown the organic matter. They break down proteins and fibres, collecting and retaining minerals and micronutrients in the slurry.

The treated slurry contains a large number of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria and Fungi (PGPR & F), which dissolve plant nutrients and actively transport them throughout plants, resulting in increased root and shoot growth and improved soil quality.

To compete with natural bugs in anaerobic slurry, Slurry For Soil microbes must be found in enough amounts to consume the organic matter. This is why it is critical to allow enough time for the Slurry For Soil microorganisms to multiply and spread throughout the slurry store, eventually displacing the natural bugs in the slurry lagoon.

To replenish your store's slurry, add a half or full dose of Slurry For Soil Microbes, depending on the amount removed. Slurry For Soil Microbes continue to outnumber natural anaerobic bugs in slurry.

How To Use For Cattle

How To Use Slurry For Soil for Cattle:

Use 1 kg of Slurry For Soil for every 120,000 litres (26,000 gallons) of anticipated FINAL slurry volume.

Step 1: Premix in hand-warm water (above 30ºC but below 37ºC). 5 litres of water per kg of product combined.

Step 2: Stir thoroughly until the powder is dissolved and set aside for 45 minutes.

Step 3: Stir again prior to adding to the liquid layer of the slurry.

Important Notes:

Water above 40ºC can destroy microbes. Avoid using disinfectants other than those used in the parlor, since they may harm Slurry For Soil's bacteria and fungi. Apply to the liquid layer of slurry, NOT the crust or sludge. After 6-8 weeks, administer a booster dose and wait another 12 weeks. When mixing, avoid getting product in your eyes or inhaling it. Step 2: Stir until it has dissolved the powder and leave for 16 hours in a warm environment (preferably 22-23ºC) for bacteria to revive and grow. Please be aware that a small amount of Zeolite mineral will settle out.

Step 3: After 16 hours, stir and pour through slats or directly into the slurry tank. For long slatted passages, pour in 2-3 points along the length of the passageway.

Important Notes:

Water above 40ºC may destroy microbes. DO NOT Disinfect pens before emptying the slurry tanks as it can kill the bacteria and fungi in Slurry For Soil. Apply to the liquid layer of slurry, not the crust or sludge. When mixing, avoid getting product in your eyes or inhaling it. After using the product, wash your hands.
